Turner Prize Nomination

It is with shock, surprise and delight that I announce, I have been nominated for this years Turner Prize for Smart Gallery (Social Museum and Art Gallery) I am too giddy for words at the moment but will keep you all up to date. Short-listed artists are announced on the 12th May so fingers crossed please.

“The Turner Prize, established in 1984, is awarded to a British artist under 50 for an outstanding exhibition or other presentation of their work in the 12 months preceding 17 April 2015. It is intended to promote public discussion of new developments in contemporary British art and is widely recognised as one of the most important awards for the visual arts in Europe.

Every other year, the prize leaves Tate Britain and is presented at a venue outside the capital. This year that venue will be Tramway in Glasgow.

Admission to the exhibition of work by the four shortlisted artists will be free and will run from October 2015 until January 2016 with the winning artist being announced at a special ceremony in December 2015″.
